my mother in law was about to lose her home, my husband and I pay off mortgage in return she sign over the property by giving my husband a notarized quit claim deed, however a year before that she has quit claim the same property to her sons. We been scammed, what legal action can we take to get back our money?

You need to consult an attorney in your area. She may not have owned the property she signed over to you & your husband. Was the quit claim deed notarized & filed with the county?

This is why we record deeds with the county. If you had checked the property records, you would have seen the other deed. If it has not been recorded, record yours immediately. You will then have a better claim over the first deed to the property.
