Hello, my mom passed away a few years back. She owned a condo which she owed money on plus I believe she has borrowed against it. Apparently the state of Florida has automatically placed my name on the tax deed, and now I am responsible for the property taxes and condo fees. I never agreed to this or have I ever signed anything stating I would. The property is currently in foreclosure. Does this sound correct to you and how can I get my name off the tax deed? Thank you

Hi Guest! Welcome to forums! Unless the tax deed is transferred to someone else, I don't think you will be able to remove your name from the tax deed. Nevertheless, you should contact a real estate attorney and a tax adviser in this regard and take his opinion in this matter.  Feel free to ask if you've further queries. Sussane
