John, my husband signed the mortgage to my home when i refinanced -- but he is not on the note nor any other document. His credit was never used to obtain the mortgage or refinance. I am now going to be foreclosed on -- how will this affect his credit. Will it show up on his credit as a foreclosure even though he did not sign the note?

It should not be on his credit becasue he is not responsible for paying the mortgage.   He did not sign the Note. He is not responsible to pay and the mortgage not being paid will not affect his credit. He only signed the Mortgage to give up his rights in the event os foreclosure

Given your answer, will they include him in a foreclosure action?  If so, will the credit bureaus pick up the public records and have it end up hurting his credit anyway?  I have read so much conflicting information on this.  Do you know if the sheriff's deed will be recorded with his name included-- given that he is only on the mortgage and not on the note or deed?
