If I am on the title, do I have to be on the note?

If I am on the title, do I have to be on the note?

I am divorced and my husband still lives in the house we jointly own. We are both
named on the title. The house has no mortgage. In our divorce papers it
states that in 5 years he would "buy me out" and give me half of the value
of the house. If he takes out a mortgage will I be on the note because
I am still on the title? Would I have to get my name off first before
he applies?

To be on the mortgage papers, you must be a co-signer, as that is unlikely to happen, there is no need for you to worry about paying for the mortgage your husband takes out.
