My husband is very sick with leukemia. Our deed is in both our names but the mortgage is in his name only. We live in Ala. How can I protect my home if anything should happen to him?

If you have equity in your property and a stable financial situation with good credit scores, you can apply for a refinance and get the mortgage transferred in your name. You can keep on making the payments on time and save the property.
