I live in Alabama, and looking like a good time to bail on the Libor loan since we feel we are just gonna stay due to the lousey home market.
Looking at a 30 year fix rate , I see in my good faith that there is a title transfer fee. Odd, I already thought that was the case when I first bought it.
My mortgage is the first lein holder but not the name on the title has not changed.
And a Title insurance search fee. That as done on the original load and would this need to done a second time?
Thanks.

417K 4.375 30 year fix, House has wonderful apraisals amount.
Hi tcd,

If there is no change of ownership, then you won't be liable for paying the title transfer fee. You should contact your lender and clarify the matter with him.

Thanks,

Jerry

Yea I did and they said so long as I have the original policy 'with the jacket', they can cut the $800 free down to $300 and change. Thanks!

I'm taking all my Good FDaiths to another local guy that does his own underwritting. Good to get a second opinion.

Thanks for the reply J
I may keep the weg crawlers alive in here as I go through this refi.
This LIBOR was fun and keep getting lower every month. Obama is not helping the markets from what I'm paying each month, but I'm sure this Cheap RENT is soon gonna be over . Better pony up and be responsible with a 30 year fix.
