The thing with the interior photos is some homes have items in the photos that are worth thousands of dollars, the appraisal has the home already cased out for would be robbers. While I understand Fannie Mac and Freddie Mac want to make sure they are not buying loans with gutted houses, the invasion of privacy is not the only factor, security is another one.
Hi xpress1stop,

I can very well understand your concern. But there is hardly anything that can be done in this regard. However, you should note it that the appraisers will also take care of the security and may not share the details with anyone else.

Thanks

Hi xpress1stop!

Welcome to the forums!

I, too, agree with your concerns. But as James has said, most property appraisers are trustworthy. They will not share personal information of their clients with anyone else.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
