Hi there… It would be great to have some suggestions on my query. I'm planning to bargain on my property appraisal after few days. Can you let me know what will happen at the hearing? What is it that I can expect at the hearing? All responses are welcome…
I do not know how much you will be able to bargain in your property appraisal hearing. The property appraisers only set values and they may talk to you about that. If you want to bargain on your property appraisal, you should be able to provide them with evidence. For example, if a property in your neighborhood has been sold recently, you can quote the price for that sale. This might help you in bargaining your property value.
I agree with the prior response. If you do not provide evidence/support to change their opinion of value, they will not change the value. I would suggest looking at current listings and recent sales of properties very similar to yours. If you have limited experience in this area, I would suggest getting assistance from an independent appraiser. You can take a copy of the independent appraisal to the hearing for support of your reasoning for a different value.
Thank you Niicss and Benjamin!!! :-) Your suggestions were of great help!
