Welcome kclassyred,
Generally inspections are scheduled within 2 weeks of your applying for Section 8 voucher and within 10 working days of the inspector receiving your request for inspection.

I just rented a section 8 apartment with my voucher and it took 20 days to get inspected, I live in Seattle. When I lived in Maryland it took about 10 days.
me and my landlord turned in the hap contact over three weeks ago why isnt my inspection scheduled yet and how long does it legally take to schedule the initial inspection?
Hi qj!
Welcome to forums!
As far as I know, the inspections are scheduled within 2 weeks of your applying for Section 8 voucher. Also, it is done within 10 working days of the inspector receiving your application for property inspection.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Keep in mind that "typically" doesn't mean "always". We are talking about government workers after all. Most likely, they are on vacation this week.
i turned my papers for a inspection on jan the 20 i still have not had a inspection how much longer
Welcome keke,
You should contact the lender and check out with him as to when the appraiser will come for home inspection.

Hi Squeek!

I think you should contact the local PHA (Public Housing Authority) and take their opinion in this matter. They will let you know when you will be able to get the home.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
