I have an appraisal that was intended for one lender, but have had problems with that lender. Will other lenders accept this appraisal or will I have to get a new one?
If its an FHA appraisal, lenders should be able to accept it. If it's conventional, the current lender would have to release it and the appraiser would have to change the lender name on the appraisal and do a drive by (which they will probably charge for).
With an FHA appraisal, the appraisal follows the case number. So you'll use the same appraisal if you switch Lenders. With a conforming appraisal, you can use the same one or get a new one if you switch Lenders.
I refinanced 3 months ago through Wells Fargo. I am now refinancing again and want to transfer my last appraisal to the new lender. The new lender wants something called an HVCC certification from the AMC and I cant seem to get Wells Fargo or RELS to provide it ... any suggestions on how to get this done!?
