Hello,
I thought this would be simple, but I cannot find a quit claim template to show how to change the name on the house we live in (it was my sole and separate property before I married, now I want to quit claim it to my married name + put my husband's name on it).
Is this something I need a title company to do?
I think all I should need do is:
Jane Smith, a married woman, dealing with her sole and separate property, acquired as an unmarried woman, previously known as Jane Doe
hereby quit-claim to
John and Jane Smith, husband and wife.
Most online form databases show how to do quit claim from husband to husband + wife, but none show how to quit claim from female unmarried name to female married name + husband, that's kind of bigoted I think.

Hello,
A properly executed warranty deed can convey the property from you to both you and your husband. An attached notarized name affidavit in which you purport to be the same person of both your married and unmarried names can be submitted with the warranty deed.
