hello, a relative deeded a piece of property to me in arkansas. i later found out it had been deeded to another person on a quit claim deed a number of years after my relative's death. the court house of record cannot find the quit claim deed but the owners are paying taxes on the property. how can i proceed?
thanks
thanks
LMS,
If quitclaim deed is not in presence and still those people are paying the taxes then I think court will accept quit claim deed documents more legal.payment of taxes for property purpose can be done by any means, from any person's account.but the deed does matter.
These taxes are nowhere related to the personal taxes .
Keep in touch.........

Hi LMS
You need to contact a real estate attorney and discuss your options with him. If the property has been deeded to someone else earlier, then you cannot claim the property as yours.
Thanks.
