can you please call me
hi judith,
welcome to the forum.
how bad is your credit? tell us about your credit score. how long have you taken the mortgage? have you yet consulted with your lender?
if you want to know whether you can refinance with your poor credit you can opt for no-obligation free consultation from the community lender.
best of luck,
larry

Welcome judith,
Why do your have poor credit? There are lenders who can offer you to refinance with poor credit. So, shop around for lenders. But the rates may be a bit higher. Check out the discussion on refinance with poor credit at http://www.mortgagefit.com/know-how/poorcreditscore-refinance.html#30048
Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any further questions.

judith, you've asked to have someone call you. one of the first things you need to do in order to reach out is to seek assistance within the community as Larry had mentioned. of course, in order for anyone to call you, it would be helpful to have a number to dial. if i sit here at my desk and simply call out the name "judith" repeatedly, my coworkers will have me committed. i have enough problems already without that happening.
also, as noted above, it is most helpful to us to have more information at hand in order to try to direct you.

There are still a few options for people with bad credit. The main problem is that "bad credit" is a relative term.
I have had people with 400 credit scores and I have also had people with 600 credit scores and both thought there credit was equally bad. Sometimes "bad" isn't as bad as you think :)

well-put chris. even those with higher scores might feel that their credit is "bad" due to one slip-up.
there is far too little valid information that is spread abroad about our credit standing.

I have gotten into the habit of trying to frame the client's claim to bad credit quickly by asking them to tell me the two worst things reporting on their credit. This way I can quickly focus in on the reality of their "bad" credit situation.
