Chapter 7 & 2nd Mortgage

Posted on: 01st Feb, 2011 03:40 pm
in 2000 my chapter 7 bankruptcy went through. my second mortgage was included. it shows in my discharge paper. i never heard from them in 12 years. i am in the process of refinancing and my second mortgage is listed on title b from the time that i took out the loan. the company went under a year later and i was never able to contact them, they were the original "the money store". i hired a title lawyer to remove them from the title b form but now he is saying that i need some proof that the loan was discharged. they do not know who has the loan or took over the loan but it shows on my discharged bankruptcy form. i live in pa by the way. how can i find out if this loan was "stripped"? thank you in advance.
