Should I apply for Bankruptcy?

Posted on: 18th Sep, 2009 02:31 pm
I have close to 10,000 in medical debt. There has been legal action taken on $7200 of the amount. I am currently making monthly payments to the collection agency. I am a single Mom with a low income, and I do not receive any child support. This is the only debt I have. I am having a very hard time paying this. Financiall I am actually in a good place. My house and car are paid for. So therefore I don't know what to do. It is going to take me at least 5 years to pay this debt off. Am I able to file bankruptcy for my medical debt? Since I don't have any other debt.
Since you car and hosue is paiud for, best option for ypou is work with collection agency and pay off the remioanign debt and be free and clear

this not a situation to file bankruptcy
