I filed bancruptcy in 2008 and just recently I checked my credit and the report showed that my house was in the bancruptcy and it was not. I looks like i have'nt made a payment since 2008 and I never missed a payment as a matter of fact I did a modification just last year and nothing was ever mentioned about a bancruptcy. This does not make any since to me but all I know is its really messing up my credit, even worse a vehicle I was leasing is in the bancruptcy too, which is rediculous because I do not own the car and the dealership will not give me a letter stateing the car should not have been in the bancruptcy I was going to send the lwtter to the credit beaurues.HELP ME PLEASE
Welcome ahhbeedo,
As you did not reaffirm the mortgage, the lender is not liable to report the payments to the credit bureau. You should contact your lender and request them to report your payments to the credit bureau so that it helps in improving your credit scores.
