Can I get money back paid during bankruptcy to mortgage company if i cancel reaffirmation agreement?...Can I get money back paid during bankruptcy to mortgage company if i cancel reaffirmation agreement before discharge?
Hi borborigm,
Yes, you will be able to cancel your reaffirmation agreement within 60 days after it is filed at the bankruptcy court. However, you should cancel the agreement before the discharge order is being issued.
You will have to inform the lender about your decision to cancel the agreement. Once you cancel the agreement, the lender will have to return you any payments you've made so far under the agreement.
Thanks
