Is there a bank that will give a loan to payoff my Chapter 13?

Posted on: 14th Oct, 2009 12:56 pm
I am in the last year of my Chapter 13 and it has already been modified. I cannot afford the $1850 it has gone up to due to cost of living and other expenses occured while on bankruptcy (i.e. daughter needing braces, fractured bones, etc)

I was informed by my lawyers that because it's already been modified there is nothing that can be done other than trying to start over again with another bankruptcy!!

Please tell me there is an institution that can provide me with a loan!
hi dhanamoto!

welcome to forums!

i doubt whether or not lenders would be ready giving you a loan as you are still in chapter 13 bankruptcy. i would suggest you to contact your lender and apply for a modification. you will have to inform the lender about your situation and check out if he is ready to give you another loan modification. if you can convince the lender, there are chances that he would agree to it.

feel free to ask if you've further queries.
