we filed for ch. 7 and have a case number, can we dismiss and it not go on our credit report?...options have come up that may allow us to dismiss the bankruptcy. Will it still say on our credit report that we filed and will we have to check that little box on every application that says, "have you ever filed for bankruptcy" even if we dismiss it?
Hi bryant,

If you dismiss the bankruptcy, it would be mentioned in your credit report as "bankruptcy dismissed". As far as applications are concerned, you will have to mention that though you filed for bankruptcy, you got it dismissed. You will have to give proper reasons for dismissal of bankruptcy.
