Hi, I went through ch. 7 bankruptcy. Somehow, 1st & 2nd mortgage was included and we never stopped paying every month. I learned this through my credit report. What should I do? My lawyer isn't getting back to me, thanks for any info.
hi mystic!
welcome to forums!
has your chapter 7 bankruptcy been discharged by the court? if it is discharged, then you can reaffirm the mortgage debts and keep on paying the mortgage dues. this will help you saving the property. if you stop paying the mortgage dues, the lender will foreclose the property which will badly effect your credit report.
feel free to ask if you've further queries.
