If you file a Chapter 7 BK and you continue to make your mortgage pymts on time can the lender foreclose on your home?
hi kms,
if you file bankruptcy and if it's accepted the court will order an automatic stay. this will bar your creditors from suing you for the deficient amount. thus, your lender will not be able to foreclose the property. if you reaffirm your debts in chapter 7 bankruptcy and pay them off regularly, then the lender won't foreclose the property.
thanks
