We had our Ch 7 discharged on April 19th, the mortgage was part of the Ch 7. When can I leave. I have found a job and a place to live out of state and need to know what I need to do to "legally" leave.
Do I need to keep mowing the lawn until the bank takes over?
Can I leave the stuff I dont want to move?
Do I still need to pay the semi annual property taxes?
Do I need to keep the Homeowners insurance up to date?
THe lawyer that did our bankruptcy is not very good at returning calls. The one post I see si to contact the Mortgage company and let them know..but if you have EVER tried to call BofA, you know they have a hard time understanding what you are trying to say. Any help would be appreciated!!

I would contact the bank and do a cash for keys, or just tell them you want a deed in lieu. If the home was in BK, and then going to foreclose, you have a certain period of time. After NOD filed, 90 days to issue notice of trustee sale, and they have to post this for 21 days, then they can sell the house. Should you do all the things you mentioned? That is a personal challenge. The bank sometimes will come after people who abandon homes and leave it in disrepair, and sometimes they dont.
Can you explain this statement please:
I would contact the bank and do a cash for keys, or just tell them you want a deed in lieu. If ...I just need to know to say when/if they actually answer the phone. Do I pay them cash and give them keys? What is NOD? Im new at this..sorry :)
