We have a mortgage judgement from Countrywide for about $163,000 (after all of their outrageous fees tacked on) and are waiting to see if we will be getting a deficiency judgement against us. If we have this judgement do we file a Chapter 7 or 13? HELP!!
Hi blacknblue,
You should contact a bankruptcy attorney and check out if you can clear the means test. If you clear the means test, then you will be able to file Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
Thanks

You should read this and if you are in California you should read about the SB 931 bill
