We had purchased some goods from a company with a later delivery date, however the company now has filled a bankruptcy under chapter 11. How can I get back my money from the company?
call your state's attorney general's office for some good guidance.
The shopkeeper is in Edison new Jersey. I was trying to find the bankruptcy court there, do I need to contact the attorney General in Jersey ?
if that's where the bankruptcy was filed, i would have to think so, yes.
yes.
you need to write a letter to company about non-receipt of goods. mention clearly about delivery date.

lee, please reread the post. the company in question has filed bankruptcy. letter writing at this point is futile, and the inquirer is going to have to work with the bankruptcy court to try to get satisfaction.
If you paid by credit card you should be protected by the Consumer Credit Act and your card provider is liable to refund you. Go back to the credit card company.
Always try to book with a credit card if possible then you are almost certain you can get your money back in this case.If you paid by credit card you should be protected by the Consumer Credit Act and your card provider is liable to refund you. Go back to the credit card company.
What procedure should I follow to get my money returned from myharvestamerica.com?
Hi Ruth,
If the company has filed bankruptcy and got a discharge from it's debts, then you won't be able to get your money back from that company.
Thanks
