I filed chapter 13 in 2009 and started making restitution payments in July of 2009. I had been injured at work causing my bankruptcy filing. I also thought that I would return to full time work. I made several attempts to do so and have ended up on social security. If I file a chapter 13 hardship discharge, will I lose my home? Is it possible to save my home? Mt bankrupcy payments are 300.00 per monthy and my mortgage payments are 400.00 leaving little room for utilities. I have no medical insurance and the medical bills are piling up.
Hi tanner,
Hardship discharge does not mean you'll lose your home. You should contact your bankruptcy attorney and check out how you can apply for a hardship discharge.
Thanks
