My mortgage company, OCWEN, has yet to foreclose on the house. There has been no Sheriff's sale as of yet. I am in limbo because I still have the responsibilities of maintaining the upkeep of the house I relinquished! Can I contact OCWEN and investigate why they have not foreclosed on the property yet? Can I take OCWEN to court and press the issue of foreclosure? I need this "monkey" off my back!
Hi Guest,

You can definitely contact Ocwen and ask them to take immediate steps to foreclose the property so that you would be freed from the responsibilities of maintaining the property. However, I don't think it would be of much help to you if you take the lender to the court. Nevertheless, you can contact an attorney and take his opinion in this matter. He may guide you as to whether or not it would be a good option to take the lender to the court.
