Hi
I filed bancruptcy ch 7 over a year ago and I was told I no longer had the house when I got behind so I stopped paying. I am behind a year and forclosure was started ,I was contacted by a forclosure prevention place and sat down with the lender. The lender stopped the forclosure or postponed it. I brought in all of my paperwork and explained my hardship. I also showed I can pay if they come down to 31% I was told I had a govenment loan they would see what they could do takes between 30 to 60 days they told me to wait until May. It is now May do you think I have a chance or should I keep packing?

Hi pets_kids,
There is a chance that the lender would come up with some options to help you. However, as it it already May, I would suggest you to contact the lender and check out whether he would be able to give you any assistance.
Thanks

Thank you for your reply. I met with the lender in the beginning of April and thats when they said between 30 and 60 days. Yesterday made 30 days. they said wait until May because the presidents new bill will have just taken into effect.
I woudl call them and find out the current status and make the decisio based on that.
If they have all your required documents, they are probably working on modification.
One thing they always look at would be, if you can stillmake payments after the modification is doen or they would deny it.
