Chapter 7 home included filing.

Posted on: 26th Oct, 2012 01:01 pm
I filed chapter 7 and included my home which I have not lived in since 2008. I was under the impression the home would go into forecloser, now I find out the Chase bank has the loan and I owe 12448 dollars in past due payment. The Real time resolution say I can move back in by making arrangement with zero interest. The problem is the home has been vandailized and need major repair plus it is listed at Experian but not on the other 2. How can I get a loan to do the repairs? I gaved it up due to illiness and haveing to take disability leave from my job
Welcome Lydia,

Is your bankruptcy discharged now? Unless you have reaffirmed the loan when you were in bankruptcy, it will be difficult for you to negotiate with the lender for the loan. As far as qualifying for another loan is concerned, you need to get a discharge from your bankruptcy filing and wait for 2-4 years to get a loan.

Meanwhile you can work on improving your financial condition as well as credit history that will help you to qualify for the loans in the future.
