bancruptcy

Posted on: 12th Aug, 2008 06:06 pm
Thanks for the reply. Actually, Im working for a retail store and I have a credit card under their company name. I dont know if it's going to affect my employment status with them if they found out that I filed bancruptcy. I've been with the company for more than six years and I dont want to see myself laid off or terminated because of this situation. HELP!
Hi janjosh.

Welcome to the forum.

It is always helpful if you maintain only one thread. It is difficult to gaze if you make multiple threads. Have you filed chapter7 or chapter13? If you have filed with chapter-13 then you will pay them off with an affordable repayment plan.

We filed chapter 7. The last time I missed payment is they called the store and asking for my payment. I am not comfortable when they call me at work.

But what do you intend to do about the payments? when are you getting the discharge order from the bankruptcy court?

Hello janjosh,

So all your unsecured debt is forgiven after you filed chapter7? Have you reaffirmed the debts?
