bankruptcy

My sibling managed to deceive my father into adding her name to the deed of his property so she would have equity to build a house on it and would own the property solely after his death. (He thought he was co-signing a loan for her home ) Well 3 months before his death, he found out what she had done and removed his name from the deed and added mine. Now she has filed for bankruptcy. What can I expect to happen with the property?
Hi sac!

Welcome to forums!

If your sibling's name is not on the property, then she won't be able to include the property in her bankruptcy filing. Thus, the property would be safe. However, if her name is on the property deed, then she will have to list the property as her asset.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
