I am no longer protected from creditors and have many medical expenses, my home is in my name and life partner's name. Can I deed my share to my partner to protect the home? I have a copy of the dismissal from the judge.
Thanks
Thanks
Hi jgiles,
As you are no longer protected from your creditors and as your bankruptcy has been already dismissed, if you transfer the property to your life partner, it will be considered as a fraudulent transfer and the creditors may penalize you. You will have to consult with your bankruptcy lawyer in this regard and check if you can re-file bankruptcy.
Thanks
