File bankruptcy

Posted on: 14th Jun, 2012 02:01 am
Hi there… I need to know if it is possible to file bankruptcy against just my 2 rental homes that have lost 100% value. The first home has 3 liens against it and the 2nd has 2 liens same lender. I have tried short sale but that was not accepted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi Nelsons,

You can file bankruptcy in order to get rid of the properties which have lost 100% in value. You can contact a bankruptcy attorney who will look into the matter and let you know about your chances to get rid of the properties and the mortgages associated with it.

Take care

Hi Nelsons,

You can try and pay off the liens and then try to sell off the property. This will help you avoid filing bankruptcy.

Thanks
