I'm 29 years old and wondering if I should file Chapter 7 or wait until the debt collectors give up and it’s charged off. The only debt I have is from credit cards which total around $20k. It’s spread across 7 cards so I owe each moderately small amounts of debt. Is it possible for me to just deal with collection calls and letters until they stop or is Chapter 7 a better option given my situation? I hoping they wouldn't sue me for small amounts of debts like $1k to 3K.
hi myntra,
chapter 7 bankruptcy filing should be your last option to get rid of debts. as you owe moderate amounts, it will be better if you could settle or consolidate the debts.
take care

Hi Myntra!
Welcome to the forums!
If you have no other debts which needs to be discharged in your bankruptcy filing apart from the credit cards, then it's better to avoid bankruptcy. It will be better if you could check out for other options to get rid of the credit card debts.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
