I'm thinking about filing for chapter 7, I have land that a family has been paying for becaue I was not able too, so I let them have it and have not signed it over yet to them.can I have this land exempt from chapter 7?
Hi purplequeenfly,
You will have to list the property as your asset when you to file bankruptcy but you won't have to include it in your filing. This will help you in saving the property. However, for further information in this regard, contact your bankruptcy attorney.
Thanks.
