We filed chapter 7 and was discharged 10/01/2009. We did not keep the house. Our credit scores are 673 and 678..mid or low, idk. In the public records it shows bk...not foreclosure..when can we buy a house with FHA or RD loan?

If you look at it in the perspective of credit bureau,remark of bankruptcy will remain on your report for 7 yrs...as far as the getting a loan is concerned lenders may offer you the deal even after 6 months from discharge..but you need to think about the interest rates....by this time you can make a list of varieties of lenders who are offering their quotes..and then should select the best deal..
In normal condition,(with normal interest rates) lenders do consider the application for the loan after 2 yrs from the discharge...
