My question was: I understand that my creditors (all except my mortage loan) will be paid off using my inheritance but was told that my inheritance would not be applied to the mortgage that I filed bankruptcy on. Is that a correct statement?
Hi Guest!
Welcome to forums!
I haven't heard of any such rule stating that the inheritance would not be applied to pay off the mortgage dues. You can get in touch with an attorney and check out if such a law exists in your state.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
