land contract

we had to go bankrupt in 2007 & in 2008 our home was forclosed. we recently tried to purchase another home & everything was looking good until the bank said where we forclosed on the other house we have to wait another 2yrs. My question is, what if we did a land contract, can we do this now & still have our name on the papers or do we still need to wait the 2yrs? :? [/b]

Yes. The Land Contract puts you between the current leinholder and their bank, so the current lienholder determines your terms.
