Bankruptcy and house

Posted on: 03rd Jun, 2013 12:37 am
Bankruptcy has been filed and the house has been taken over by the bank. All the other utilities are active. How long can a person live in such a property?
Hi Sandra,

If the property has been already taken over by the bank, then you shouldn't stay in that property any more. You should look out for other options to stay.

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi Sandra!

Welcome to the forums!

I guess the bank has foreclosed the property. In that case, the lender will send you an eviction letter mentioning the time period within which you will have to leave the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

If the Bank takes over your property you shouldn't live in the property. You have to leave the property.
