when my wife and i were discharged from our chapter 7 bankruptcy in august of 2004, it has become apparent that our attorney did not do what we wanted him to do. he was supposed to reaffirm the home mortgage and two vehicles. he only did one vehicle, and now my first mortgage is listed as bk on the credit report which apparently has cost me dearly. i never really knew what happened. how can i reaffirm my mortgage with my lender? is there any point in it? i live in maryland.
I WOULD CALL THE BK TRUSTEE IT IS USUALLY LOCATED IN ANNAPOLIS MD, OR CALL A DIFF ATTORNEY
hi arinehart!
welcome to the forums!
it's been a long time since you were discharged of your bankruptcy. it would have been better if you had taken the initiative to refinance the mortgage then. however, i would suggest you to contact both your lender and your bankruptcy trustee and discuss your options with them.
feel free to ask if you have further queries.
