Do you need to file reaffirmation on the mortgage/home if you never filed the mortgage lien in the Chap 7 Bk? My lender is saying the can't do a modification because I did not reaffirm the mortgage but I never included the loan in the BK? Help :/
Hi cmoralesrefi,
As you did not include the mortgage in your bankruptcy, you are not liable for debt reaffirmation. You should show the required documents to the lender which states that you did not include the mortgage. You may even ask your bankruptcy lawyer to speak to your lender and clear off the issue.
