I am in the process in filing for chapter 7 bankruptsy, I have a car that I'm making payments on to a guy that put my name opn the title but has a lien on it till its paid off, will I lose my car?
hi snoman,
if you include the car in your chapter 7 bankruptcy filing and then reaffirm the dues, you won't lose it. after reaffirmation, you will have to make regular payments on your car loan to save it from getting repossessed.

Do not include the car in the bankruptcy and continue to make payments on it.
Hi,
Is it really necessary for you to file bankruptcy? First try to speak to your lenders about the financial difficulties and try to fix it. If it is not working for you then try to file bankruptcy chapter 7 and do not include your car in it. Try to make the payments of the car as you are making now. Never be late in your car payments, and if possible try to pay off the car dues as early as possible.
All the Best.
