i filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2011 and also received a discharge from it in the same year. i now found out that a debt that i have from october 2008 was not included in the bankruptcy. apparently it wasn't reporting on my credit, and i had forgotten all about it. i read something about a debt being included even if it wasn't included on the bankruptcy forms if there were no assets? would that mean i would be able to have that discharged? do i need to re-open the case and include it? any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi John,
If the debt has not been included in your bankruptcy filing, then how can you get a discharge from it? As far as I can understand, you may have to re-open your bankruptcy filing, include the debt and get a discharge from it.
Take care.

Hi John,
Apart from what Sara has said, I will suggest you to contact your bankruptcy attorney and take his opinion in this regard. He will be able to help you deal with this matter.
Thanks
