If I owe current taxes, can my bankruptcy still be discharged

Posted on: 07th Nov, 2010 07:59 am
My bankruptcy is almost paid out and ready for discharge. However, during my Chapter 13, I filed taxes but have not paid in full for all the years following the initial filing. Can I still get a discharge?
Hi tarpley,

You haven't included the taxes in your filing and the taxes won't get discharged in your bankruptcy. In such a situation, you'll be able to get a discharge as you've paid off your dues as per the repayment options given to you in bankruptcy filing.
