i am looking for someone to answer a question regarding my bankruptcy. somehow my first mortgage was reaffirmed but my second mortgage shows up in my credit report as discharged through bankruptcy march 31, 2010. i have tried to contact my attorney 13 times and he will not return my calls regarding this issue. my mortgage lender refuses to work with me on remodifiying my loans. and because the second mortgage shows discharged in bankruptcy i am unable to get a new loan with any other lender. what i want to know is am i still responsible for paying the second loan even though it shows discharged through bankruptcy.
I think the time duration to get any type of loan after discharge by bankruptcy is of three years. I need to cross check it with my attorney. In your case CMJK, you must get a new attorney as your attorney seems to be of no use to you. I don't think he is a responsible person.
jameshogg. Thank You for your quick response. I was sitting here sweating wondering if my mortgage company could still take my house. I am current on the first mortgage. Byronlewis82, thank you also. I totally agree I need a new attorney, the problem is I can't afford another one. I am however filing paperwork with the bbb and the wisconsin bar association. He just left me and my husband hanging. So irresponsible is oh so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
