My father is very ill, and I was recently appointed POA, Executor and Trustee of his estate. If I file for bankruptcy now (which we need to seriously consider), could it result in my losing the right to be POA for my father while living, Trustee and Executor-ship Will of his Estate? I ran into debt after losing my job and having medical bills that exceed half of our monthly income.
Thanks for any advice you may have

hi alicedale,
i don't think filing bankruptcy will result in losing your right to be the poa of your father. however, to be on the safer side, i would suggest you to contact your bankruptcy attorney and take his opinion in this matter.
thanks
