I was just discharge from a chapter 7 BK in Dec 08. My current husband was not on the BK, we were not even together when I first filed. We live in Louisiana, which is a community property state. Can he purchase a house without me having my name on it?
Yes he can....just as long as he can qualify on his own.

I agree with Eric that your husband can purchase a property of his own. However, when he applies for a loan, the lender may ask you to sign an inter-spousal deed so that you can claim no interest in the property. To know more about inter-spousal deed, check out the following link:
