My trustee meeting was on August 30th. The Labor Day weekend felt great due to this. Now I'm on my way to try and start rebuilding, pre-discharged. I've read about trying the pre-qualified offers with Captial One and was denied. Needless to say, I'm discouraged now. Is there a way to successfully start rebuilding prior to receiving my discharge?
Hi Stain,
Unless you receive a discharge from your bankruptcy filing, I don't think anyone of the lenders will be ready to offer you a credit card or any kind of loan. You should get a discharge and then try applying for cards.
Thanks,
Jerry

Hi Stain,
I agree with Jerry. There is no way to get a credit card or any other type of loan prior to your bankruptcy discharge.

Hi Stain,
Yes, it is true that it won't be possible for you to get any new credit until you get the bankruptcy discharge. However, as for your credit, it would be better to start working on the same to improve the score.
