we rent a house but have a friend rent a house we own, we only get1,028.00 but the note is 1,526.00we are going to file bankruptcy but was told we can not pay additional money on the rental we own what can we do about this additional money we need

did the bankruptcy attorney tell you as to why you won't be able to pay the additional money? you should note that as you are filing bankruptcy, the court will order an automatic stay and your lenders will not be able to collact the dues from you until your bankruptcy is discharged.

Ok, then you can find another person he can pay atleat your mortage amount. or try pay by other way.
OR declaire bankruptcy then court will do all formalities and you will not need to wory about money and next formalities.
Try to take advoice from expert person.
