How soon after a BK can an Owner have a Realtor place their home on the market to sell? Also, if they own more than the market can bear in comps, can it be a Short Sale?
Hi trs,
If your bankruptcy is not discharged by the court, then you will have to take the permission of the Trustee to sell the property. If your case is closed, then you can sell your house at anytime. But before doing so, it is always better to contact your bankruptcy attorney.
If there is a deficient amount resulting from the sale of the property, then it can be taken as a short sale and you will have to pay the deficient amount to the lender.
Thanks
