Is it necessary to sign reaffirmation papers eventhough i can make the payments? If i don't can/will they take my home.
Hi tamigibson,
If you sign the reaffirmation papers, it will help you in paying off the dues and the monthly payments would be reported to the credit bureaus. Thus, it would help you in improving your credit score fast. If you do not reaffirm and keep on paying the dues, then the lender will not foreclose the property, but it won't help your credit in any way.
